This program is designed to hit the pot when it is hot. Trending dishes, wholesome soups, traditional Indian food, crisp salads, quick stir fries and Sunday roasts are some of the food one will get to learn, not to forget the simple, quick desserts and breads that you can make to feed friends and family. This is a course that runs only on weekends and is also therapy in one way. So if you are busy with office during the week and looking to cook on the weekends, this is for you. We straight away get into recipe making and look at the science, trends, and all the cool things as we go along cooking a particular dish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get a job after the course?

The course focuses on cooking techniques, simple menus from Asian, European, and Indian cuisine. We do not focus the course towards getting a particular type of Job, but to inspire you to think of what different potential jobs in the Food industry, that you would want to try. The course will teach you food history, techniques, ingredient information, food plating, wine knowledge and hands on butchery skills. Its left to you as to what you want to make of this course.

Do I have to know basics of cooking, before I apply?

No, you need not even know how to hold a knife. That is why we are here to teach you to cook.

All we want from you is a desire to excel and learn.

What if I am a vegetarian? Do I still have to cook meat?

No, if you are a vegetarian, we have vegetarian options for cooking a similar dish. You need not

cook. It is totally up to you. But if you are ok looking at your classmate cut and cook meat and taste

it, we have no issues with that.

How are we different ?

All schools are different. Our philosophy of food and strong points are:

  • We are sensitive to what is good food and real food the way it is supposed to be.
  • We are careful from where we buy ingredients and look at less wastage of ingredients.
  • We care for the planet and use more local ingredients, in the form of vegetables, meat and dairy.
  • We have guest lecture sessions on wine appreciation, organic food, food safety and hygiene, kitchen gardening, waste mgt etc.
Do you have accommodation facility?

No, we do not have hostel or any kind of accommodation facility, but we will be happy to help

suggesting PG’s around the institute.

What is your cancellation policy?

We will refund 80 percent of the fees if cancellation is done before the course starts.
If cancellation is done post the starting of the course, no refund will be made.

How much does it cost?

Fees are Rs. 60,000  inclusive of all taxes.

What are timings?

Classes are on
Saturday and Sunday
From 10 am to 3 pm

Do I need to know how to cook?

You don’t need to know anything about how to cook ?, we’ll cover everything from how to hold a knife to making biryani.

Where are you located?

We are on the 3rd floor of Interface House, Cambridge Layout, Bangalore

Is there parking available?

There isn’t parking on site, but there is parking available in the by lanes.

Can I pay the fees in installments?

Yes, you can pay 50% before the start of the course and the balance over the period of the course.

What is included in the course content?

We cover 11 different basic menus from around the world as well as a basics dessert class.

Is the course conducted online?

No, this is an in-person course exclusively.

When can I join the course?

You can join the course at any time and continue on until you
have covered all 12 classes.

Does the course focus on baking?

While we do cover some basic baking, we are primarily focused on culinary arts as a whole.

Is the program certified upon completion?

You will get a certificate from Slurp Culinary Academy.

Are there specific age requirements for this course?

Anybody above the age of 18 is welcome to join the course.

Is there a dress code for the course?

You will be provided with a an apron and cap and you are expected to wear closed toe shoes.
